Lake Towada, where Oirase Gorge starts, is mostly surrounded by cliffs. Virgin forests grow in the surrounding area and the calm mirror-like surface of the lake shines in a deep blue color.

Sukayu Onsen is an inn with hot spring baths located at the foot of the Hakkoda Mountains in Aomori Prefecture. This hot spring has long been well known for the powerful healing effects of the highly acidic and abundant supply of spring water. Aomori City is the administrative center of Aomori Prefecture, in the Tohoku region on the island of Honshū. National Parks in Hokkaido

Lake Saroma (サロマ湖, Saroma-ko), also Saroma Lagoon, is a coastal lagoon (hence a body of brackish water) in Saroma, Kitami, and Yūbetsu Hokkaidō, Japan. 

Kawayu Onsen is located in the northeast of Hokkaido. The source is Atosanupuri (Mount Iou), which is still active as an active volcano, and the hot water contains sulfur minerals. The hot water is so powerful that it can melt a 5-inch nail in a week

Located 11 km from Teshikaga and 12 km from Kawayu Onsen, the surface of Lake Mashu sits 351 m above sea level. With a 20 km shoreline, an area of 19.2 km2, and a maximum depth of 211.4 m, the waters of this crater lake have been called the clearest in the world and it mesmerizes visitors with its ever-changing surface. The lake is surrounded by the crater wall, which is 300-400 m tall and has an average grade of 45 degrees. No other lake in Japan has such an unforgiving shoreline.
